Honor’s London Marathon Challenge Raises Over £3,000 for SNAC!

A huge thank you to Honor for choosing to support SNAC and for all the effort, determination, and kindness shown throughout her fundraising journey.

💛 Honor’s Story

On the 26th of April, Honor took on the London Marathon as a personal challenge — and as a powerful way to give back to the community that supported her growing up.

Diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) at just 15 months old at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital, Honor has lived with arthritis for as long as she can remember. Her childhood has included steroid injections, medication, MRIs, physiotherapy, and periods where even day-to-day tasks such as getting out of bed or dressing were not possible.

Despite these challenges, reaching a point where she could take on a marathon is something truly significant.

Honor chose to raise funds for SNAC as a way of supporting other children and families facing similar experiences — especially those who may be at the beginning of their journey with JIA, just as her own family once was.

Through her JustGiving campaign, she shared:

“If me taking part in this marathon can inspire even one young person to believe their condition does not define their future, then every mile I run will be worth it.”

🙏 Thank You

We are incredibly grateful to Honor for her dedication and for sharing her story so openly. Her achievement is not only an amazing sporting milestone but also a powerful message of hope for young people living with arthritis.

Thank you also to everyone who donated, supported, and shared her fundraiser — your kindness makes a real difference to SNAC families.
