Edinburgh Marathon Festival

SNAC at EMF 2020

23-24 May

Please note this event has been rescheduled due to ongoing uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 virus.
We are pleased once again this year to be part of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF). By running in support of SNAC, you can help us raise awareness of juvenile arthritis in the heart of Scotland’s capital while also raising funds in aid of our work with families affected by JIA.

SNAC is an official Affiliate Charity of EMF, which means you can support us in one of two ways:

  • Option 1: Self Entry
Simply choose one of the EMF events, register online, pay for your own entry, and select SNAC as your chosen charity on your My Details account page. EMF will let us know you are running in support of SNAC, and we will provide you with a running top so you can help spread the word about JIA. And of course we’ll be there to encourage you all the way to the finish line. As a self-entry runner, you are not required to raise funds for SNAC, but of course we will welcome contributions from those who make donations in support of your run.
  • Option 2: Charity Entry
Visit our EMF Affiliate Charity page, select a race in which you would like to participate, and complete an application form. If your application is approved, SNAC will pay your entry fee, provide you with a running top, and support you on the day. If you choose this option, we ask that you commit to raise funds for SNAC. We normally expect runners in the half marathon to raise at least £200; those in the full marathon to raise at least £300; and relay teams to raise £400 or more.

The most popular way to raise funds for SNAC in years past has been through the Team Relay. If you would like to participate in the relay race but are having trouble finding three friends willing to lace up their running shoes and join you, just let us know. We will help you join a team and sort out the logistics.
